I've been told I have a brillant voice by people that like me, i want to see if i can hold the prefect note, and therefore would like to attempt to sing a long difficult note..

I sang 'i will always love you' whitney houston on karaoke a year ago and won 'best whitney houston that hotel had ever seen' (that was in Lanzarote). Since then i sang 'my heart will go on' celin dion, a few months back, in front of my inlaws and they loved it, i shook all over but they loved it.

I want to test my voice, then hopefully gain some confidence to use it.

I am rather shy, but i do have a recording of me singing 'I will always love you', if you would like to rate it yourself email me and i'll attach it back.

The Voice Within - Christina Aguilera, that is a challenging song to sing. Have you tried The Power of love - Jennifer Rush? another powerful song.

edit: the best self teaching methods are lots of practice and breathing in between notes, also lots of fluids to moisten your throat when singing

Try singing "Always And Forever" in it's entirety. Do NOT change the octaves of the song at all!! Which ever key you sing it in, it would be difficult to hit every single note on pitch.

The theme to Harry's game by Clannad when Enya was still in them. The Big Brother tune is almost impossible to hum properly.

Nillson's "Without You" is pretty demanding with a pig of a key change towards the end. I think that there is a Mariah Carey version as well.

Loving You by Minnie Riperton. If you can reach and hold the high note then you do have a really good voice. It is very difficult.

Pie Jesu.

(Pee-ay Yay-soo)

There are tons of high notes in that song. It's a really pretty song, but it can be difficult to sing sometimes.

The song has quite low notes, extremly high notes, a 14 second note and a part where high notes are repeated.
