The Femur is the hardest to break and the easiest well my choice is based more on locale and ease of hitting it versus the bones actual strength versus others.
I think the ribs are one of the easiest to crack and break as is a finger or toe though there are bones that are weaker they just break more often.

Maybe we should make a distinction between long bones and irregularly shaped bones. The femur is definitely the most difficult long bone to break and I would guess that the humerus comes in second. I think it would be tough to say which bone in the body is the easiest to break. It really depends. A lot of people have been saying that the clavicle is the most commonly broken bone. I would argue that fingers and toes are more commonly broken but that people don't seek treatment as often for them. Unless a finger or a toe is broken in a really awful manner (like bones protruding through the skin) people don't usually need to see a doctor. All the doctor will do is say, "yep it's broken" and give you a splint for your finger or if it's one of your small toes maybe a boot that you could get at Walgreens to stabilize the foot or even no treatment, "just take it easy until it heals."
I also wanted to add that even though the bones that make up the skull are strong a lot of brain damage can be caused by being hit in the head with or without fractures. If the impact is severe enough the brain may swell to the point where skull needs to be opened to relieve the pressure to prevent further brain damage.
I know that children are susceptible to brain damage from swelling and hemorrhages. But I was wondering is it less likely in children because the bones of their skull haven't fused together yet? Would this allow the brain swelling with a lower risk of damage? Does anyone on here know?

The hardest bones to break are the bones of the inner ear...they are the smallest bones in the body and are protected by the skull.
The most commonly broken bone is the collar bone.

No bone breaks easy, they are all harder and more durable than concrete, ribs do not break easy, neither does the jaw, in fact those are very difficult to break, breaking a rib requires a lot of factors to be just right(or wrong depending on your perspective), your ribs serve as a type of armor for your organs wouldn't make much sense if they were easy to break now would it? also the NOSE IS NOT A BONE, there is no nosebone
the hardest bone to break is the femur, it almost never happens, and when it does the person rarely walks again, followed closely by the skull, followed by the veritbrae(spine) the least commonly broken bone is the scapula(shoulderblade) because it is rarely subjected to large enough forces and can move to absorb impact when it is. the easiest are the phalanges(finger/toe bones) in the thumb, this doesn't happen often because the thumb is well protected in almost all situation involving the types of forces required to break bones, the ring and pinky bones are actually harder to break than the index and middle finger bones, because they are (very)slightly curved and curved structured are always stronger than an eqivalent straight one(consider a dome versus a flat structure, or the arch the arch is one the most architechually sound structures in existance)

The hardest bone to break is the dome of the skull.
The easiest is kind of a toss up. The clavicle bone breaks very easy and digits (fingers and toes) break easy, open ribs break easy and noses break easy. Not sure which is easiest.
