The best "diet" in the world is portion control. You have to understand the amount you eat is in direct proportion to how much you gain. If you have sedentary lifestyle, you should be eating very little. And I mean little.
But in answer to your question, it DOES work for short term weight loss, but the weight that disappears is WATER and will slap back on AS SOON as you start back to your old habits.
Its a good cleanse, but can cause yeast infections because of the immense amount of sugar.
This is not a lower calorie diet, if you look at maple syrup's nutrition facts.
Its also not healthy to eat just lemonade for seven days.
The lemonade diet is not something you do for two days. Its a seven day cleanse which will definitely have positive effects on your body, but you are not going to burn fat.
Weight training and a great diet will do this, and when I say diet I mean way of life.

You're talking about the Master Cleanser. You do lose weight, but the pounds come right back as soon as you stop.
• 10 Ounces Pure Filtered Water
• 2 Tablespoons Grade B Organic Maple Syrup, Formaldehyde free
• 1/10 Teaspoon Organic Cayenne Pepper
• 2 Tablespoons Lemon Juice - Organic Lemons
• Sea salt - Unrefined, (Not iodized) or Epsom Salt
I have done the Master Cleanser before and did not use organic ingredients and it "worked" in terms of dropping weight quickly. I would only use it very short term -- like if I was trying to drop weight for a specific event, or if fasting for spiritual reasons, but not for permanent weight loss.

I've heard that it works but as others have said, it's not good to lose weight that quickly. You invariably gain it back as soon as you start eating food again. Be yon say used that diet to lose weight for Dreamgirls. Then like the dumba** she is, she said the day after she quit the diet, she ate everything fried that she could wrap her lips around. That's awful for your body.
If you want something healthier, try the cabbage soup diet. You can learn about it on Ask.com

If you mean the Master Cleanse then yes it works.
You will lose 10-20 lbs. in 10 days.
It is harder than hell to stay on at first and you will start to regain the weight as soon as you go off it.
But if you can stick it out you will start to feel really good on about day 6.

Go for protein rather than sugar to keep energy levels going strong rather then crashing. Edamame in pods would be the perfect snack since it takes a while to eat and a one-cup helping offers 12 grams of proteins.

Hi yep I have tried it, and its a load of rubbish, Its not too bad to stick to but as the body releases toxins you get all sorts of stuff going on, I got a massive rash on my face was red hot and was getting worse,so it wasnt worth doing it really, the side effects are horried. and it doesnt taste to great either. There is a more relaxed version of it where you can eat as well as drink this in place of 2 meals a day but you might find it hard at first getting straight into it. Plus it taste better on its own without the ginger or cayenne pepper.

Avoid fad diets . they may work in the short run but in the end you'll be worse off and you are endangering your health. Try changing your lifestyle , eat right and add a good exerice routine. That will be your sweet sucess.

It worked for Beyonce, but it's supposed to be dangerous to lose weight that quickly and also you get terrible hunger pangs
FYI for everyone saying it doesn't exist as a real diet:
