I think it's because they have that thing you and I don't: Faith. They believe that the bible is the word of God. You can overcome any number of logical inconsistencies with faith.

I get tired of those questions too. In any one of those 'sin' questions that I have seen, there is a load of people missing the point. The point is; Even if we did not do the thing in the question, we would still be sinners. That's according to the Bible. So picking out any specific sin is missing the point.
Now why the Bible? Because it is what God gave to man so that man could learn about God. It's as simple as that. But this is the next truth about that; the Bible and a stubborn believer is not all there is to the story!
There is the Holy Spirit. And the Holy Spirit interacts with the Believer. Yes, it's a tangible relationship, as real as any other relationship anyone would have with people. It's because that people miss that, that they miss the 'proof' of God, and the witness that the Holy Spirit brings about the scripture found in the Bible. As the Christian grows in this relationship, they become more and more 'taught' in the word of God, and understand the God they put their trust in better than they did before.
So I think the part your question tells me that you are missing is the relationship and reality of the Holy Spirit in the lives of those who trust God. The Bible is full of things that say about God, " He is trustworthy, trust Him then."

And yet, you allow the constitution of the United States and the laws of the land rule over YOUR life!!!
Why DO you let the laws rule your life? Isn't that somewhat hypocritical to obey man's laws, and then criticize those who obey God's?
Well, I'm not trying to get you to break the law, to go out and rob a bank or murder someone or plant a bomb in Shay Stadium to go off when there's a game going on. DON'T!!!
All I'm saying is that we ALL have rules and guidelines that direct our lives. You can't criticize someone just because the guidelines they follow are stricter than yours, now can you???
Additional comment:
First, the Bible wasn't written over 2,000 years ago by people who thought the world was flat! You might want to study just exactly how the Bible WAS written, WHEN it was written, and who penned the words before you make such outlandish statements. They only make you look foolish.
(The Bible was written over a 2500 year span of time by about 40 or so people. Some were kings, some were fishermen, some were shepherds, et cetera.)

The Bible is God's rules for humans to live by.
God gave us His words so we would know what is right and what is wrong.
He will judge us by the laws He has laid down, and He will forgive us if we follow those rules.
Many people over the last 2,000 years have seen Jesus, and many more are filled with the Holy Spirit (they have gifts of the Spirit like speaking in tongues, or the gift of healing, prophecy, or others).
God told us in the Bible that He was going to give us His Spirit so that we could know that His word (Bible ) is true.
Being a Christian is not based on blind faith, it is knowing that God is true, and having faith(trust) that He will do every thing else that He has promised.

The Bible provides guidelines for "the good life". It's like an author consulting the dictionary or a scientist referring to the periodic table. It keeps us on the right path as human beings, not to mention as God's creation...made in His image.
Okay, so it was written over 2000 years ago. And that makes it invalid? It's God-breathed; man wrote the words, but God inspired them. And how can you possibly prove that the Bible causes wars? If we all lived according to the Word of God, there would be no need for war. What's the greatest commandment? "Love one another."
Has anyone actually seen God? Do you have eyes? Ever seen a tree or a bird...or yourself in the mirror? God made all of those things. Can you see the wind? No, but you see evidence of it. Those of us who make it into Heaven will look upon God's face at that time; for now, we have faith in His existence, as is evidenced in His creation.

we haven't seen air either, but we know we breathe it! Believe it or not, the scriptures state that the earth is a circle. So God knew, even if man did not, that the earth was not flat. Isaiah 40:22 refers to the "circle of the earth", and Job 26:10 speaks of the circle of the horizon upon the ocean. The Bible doesn't cause the things you mentioned. it's the work of Satan and his followers. Man is far from perfect, and we have freedom of choice (freedom to sin). If we love God, we desire to keep his commandments, and that's why we go by the Bible for instruction

The Bible is a collection of story's dealing with the struggle of the tribe of Israel due to them living there life in accordance with the instructions of Moses which he claimed that he was able to put God's words in his mouth and his word was god's word and not something he just determined to be the thing to do. and a brief history lesson. If you actually read the old testament you will realise that the lesson learn ed is to not believe in what you hear or read but to pray to God for guidance and use the New testament as a guide and not a rulebook.

It's not just a book, and it doesn't say anything about the world being flat. In fact it says the earth is round and suspended in space - a much more accurate description. I try to live my life by the Bible because I believe it to be the Word of God. I love God. He's done so much for me. And I WANT to live the way I was meant to live. I couldn't be happy otherwise.

I am a Christian. I follow the teachings of Jesus the best that I can. I know I can't be perfect. I don't worry about Hell or sin. I find my life is much better when I follow the Words of Jesus than when I don't. Arguments and wars are started by peoples lust for power and control not religion.

For once a man can not think and reason he will be fooled by anything. Whites did it to Blacks in slavery and they Do it to they own now through Foolery of the Bible! by twisting the words to fit their serpant like ways.
Then Blacks use it on other blacks to bamboozle them and keep them down.
Their are to few who use the Word correctly!
Just look around how many so called Christian celbrate holidays which are pegan and you will see who is right!
or at least going in the right direction.

It's because religion has found a way to insert herself into your daily lives, Read in Revelations where God tells his people to get out of her my people if you do not want to share with her in her sins. Is God wrong to assert his God ship as calling a form of religion as false religion, Babylon the great the world empire of false religion. It states FALSE religion!
