Antennas came first and everything on TV was free.

But some people were far away from the broadcast sites and picture quality changed during storms, etc.

So Cable companies came in and ran cable to fixed locations.

If you are never home - call your cable company and upgrade to a DVR. Then you simply pick your shows from the guide menu and the box records the shows for you to watch on your schedule.

It's getting a cable that long. But seriously, for RVs they have mobile satellite dishes for when the RV is driving around. I'm not sure about portable cable though.

I think Cable TVs will never be portable because their are cable base. However, there is this big chance that you could watch your fave shows by using your 3G phone (you have to check also your local telco for such service).

Um, are you really serious about this question??

Carrying the TV is easy. Keeping it connected to a cable outlet no matter where you are? How does THAT work??
