they don't like the US governmental policies, which most people don't agree with actually. If you're talking about the Middle East in particular then yeah majority of them loathe the American government because of the US led wars that killed millions and all the sanctions. It's weird that you say Sunni and Shia though, I don't get that it's kinda like asking what do Christians think of the US.
That statement about having to convert or being killed is completely false. There are millions of Christians and Jews living in Muslim countries--Jews have the biggest population in the Mid East besides Israel in Iran!!! The Quran DOES NOT state to kill the Christian and Jews if they do not convert. They're the people of the book.

Well, coming from a sunni living in the US, i think the US is boring for anyone trying to be religious, becasue there's so much temptation, so i'd rather live in a muslim country i think. other wise, if u talking about the government, i hate it, and so do alot of non-muslim americans. adn if u talking baout the nice scenery, then i love it.
not everywhere is perfect, but i wont even get into the infinite mistakes this country has made to make it look bad to the muslims.

I believe that the media there is misleading the whole folk thier. The governments of the US is working for oil, weapon companies and AIPAC. People there dont know what is real happening in the world. I consider most american are dumb in politics. Watch DW TV or TV5 and watch CBS news and you notice the difference.
I want to tell you that we are suffering in the middle east because of your governments. You dont know how your governments destroy the middle east completely and there are some dumb people are saying we want to convert you, we dont care what is your religion. Every body is free in his religion, but we care that you change those criminals for the sake of your and our benefit.

Most Islamics have a duty to evangelize the Infidel so they want us to convert. The difference is that when a Christian Evangelical comes to convert you and you refuse to convert you'll burn in "hell". If you refuse to become a Muslim they'll kill you. That's pretty simple. For them religion is life or death...for us it's faith and ideals. PEACE!
