She is a golden retriever. Almost 2 years old and in good health. It is not all the time but every now and then.

I think it is so cute! Isn't it fun just to sit and watch them sleep! They run in their sleep, and dream, and snore!! at least you know they feel safe and happy, and they are getting a good nap or a good nights sleep!!

If it's not normal for dogs to snore, then I have two abnormal dogs. My brother has a Boston Terrier, and he also snores. I've heard that the vet can give your dog something for it, but I'm not sure how good it would work. As long as it doesn't seem to be keeping your dog from a good nights sleep, I wouldn't worry about it. Good luck on you getting a good nights sleep though! LOL Been there...

It is normal, although most dogs dont snore as much as the breeds others have mentioned. I have 3 shar peis and they all snore to varring degrees due to thier "hippo" noses.

Yes. You should hear my Labs snore, my male snores louder than my boyfriend or any other human I have ever heard. The whole bed vibrates.

If it wasn't normal for them to snore than my dogs are on the high scale of abnormal. Just like people, some dogs do snore more than others. You can definatly see it more in breed with the "smushed face" (brachycephalic breeds...Bull dogs, boston terriers, pugs), but any dog can. I would invest in ear plugs!! :)

I had a mastiff you could hear snore from inside the house. And she lived in a calf hutch across the yard!

We have a chocolate lab/Weimeraner mix--she doesn't snore often, but when she does, she can be louder than my husband or I. Don't worry--it happens to everyone.
