Just because your paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you.

My experience has taught me that the vast majority of cops have a sadistic streak a mile long and revel in the power a gun and a badge gives them. There are two of them in my family, so I know this from experience. These same two were bullies as kids, so the step into their profession wasn't a big stretch.
It is usually nothing about protecting and serving with them, it's about I got mine and I am untouchable as long as I stay in this job.
The reason this is so is because regardless of what may have happened they can and do make up the details to support hassling people. In the back of your mind, you know this and that is where your anxiety stems from. You have every reason to fear them, your very life is in their hands any time you are in proximity to one of them. They know it and so do you.
Watch what else is posted from cops after this if you don't believe me.

It's a normal human reaction. It's called fear of the unknown. Try having a conversation with a Police Officer some time. You may lose the fear.

I do the same thing. My reasoning for doing this are bad experiences I have had with police in the past.

Yes, I feel like that, especially if I am driving, even if I know I am not speeding or breaking any other laws. I feel like my heart jumps out of my chest and my arms go completely numb if a cop turns his lights on behind me, even if he's pulling someone else over.

Because they are in a position of authority. That can make anyone nervous. I don't have that problem. I live in a bad neighborhood so when a cop is nearby, it puts me at ease... Loosen up, they're probably not even paying any attention to you.

my boyfriend is ridicluous for that , everytime he sees a uniformed car when we're driving he's like po-lice and slows down but he's never got a speeding ticket or anything. I think its just the idea that you could get in trouble mayb?

I do too, especially when there following me. I think it's just human nature because they are the law. I can be driving in broad daylight and if one's behind me and I'm constantly looking at my speed or gripping the wheel. lol. Maybe i'm weird too but I think it's just natural instinct.
