Legally you do not have to. If you were married then I would suggest it. Do what you feel is best for you and your little one.

No you do not have to only if you want to. Does he pay child support? You can make him if he does not. That is the only way to get him on the birth certificate but even if he does admit to child support he is the father they will not order you to put his name on the birth certificate. There is a process you must go through to have it put on the certificate but as long as she knows who he is i suppose it does not really matter. My sons father is not on the birth certificate and he knows who is father is and he also has a child support order against him. So it is really up to you.

No you don't have to. My mom didn't. When I look at that birth certificate it makes me sad that there isn't a name there. I'm 37 and it still bothers me seeing that blank space.

You don't HAVE to. But it's a good idea to. Just in case something happens to you, it should be clearly stated who her biological father is.

Only if you want to get child support. At this point, if he refused to be put on the cert. you would have to obtain a court-ordered DNA test to prove his paternity.

you don't have to but i think you should. it doesn't matter if you were never married. in fact, a lot of people never get married. doesn't mean they don't have a father.

Yes, I would. When your daughter gets old enough to need it she isn't going to want it to say her father is "unknown"...

You should. If he takes you to court, the court will order you to do so. Like it or not, HE IS HER FATHER.
