Don't get me wrong, people should be allowed to subscribe to any belief system they want, but don't you find it to be immature, irrational, and overall stupid? In relationships, you aren't just dealing with your own feelings, but you are dealing with someone else's. These zodiac-lovers are not choosing their own dating destiny. I mean, would you want to date someone who might just break your heart just because of some zodiac they read in their local newspaper? Don't you feel that they use their zodiac stereotypes as an excuse for their own shortcomings? Isn't it too random of a system when dealing with people's hearts?

I certainly would say it is very stupid. If i found out a girl i was dating was only dating me due to my zodiac sign i would have to rethink the whole relationship and probably break up with her.

I don't believe anybody should dictate their life just based on what zodiac sign they are....of course not. It's better to live and learn from your experiences, which only make you stronger.
But, in my experience, my birth date and the zodiac sign I fall under does present an accurate description of my personality, moods, overall attitude in life, and before I ever starting reading zodiac sign descriptions, I realized that everybody I am close with is compatible with my particular zodiac sign. I couldn't believe how true it was, which is why I do believe in astrology now.
I mean, in reality, there are many other beliefs out there that people will live their lives by. For example, somebody who believes in God will live their life how their God would want them too. They may do or not do certain things because God would or would not approve. It's really the same thing if you think about.

I have found people that are apparently not supposed to be compatible at all based on the zodiac and have had great long lasting relationships. (My parents are supposed to be completely incompatible and they have been married 28 years) I think that anyone who doesn't search their own feelings to decide how they feel about someone is immature, or covering some inadequacy. I think that they are entertaining, but they are not anything that I would take more seriously than my own heart. Now the scary part of the whole thing, if you believe in the foreshadowing of Nostradamus, all the predictions that he has made have come true, and they were all based on astrology. There is a minute amount of Truth in what the zodiacs say, but they are not a stronger presence than free will. I personally believe in god and free will, and that everything happens for a reason, so I cannot take those zodiacs as anything more than a gimmick. To each their own though. I imagine it makes a difference as to who is telling the fortune for that day in the newspaper if that is what you are basing it on. Can you always believe what the weather man says? He has a more scientific basis for what he says than an astrologist does. Well, sorry if I gave more than the two cents you were trying to get out of this.

I don't think astrology is a reliable method for guiding one's life or choosing their friends or mates. Too many people don't match the characteristics of their astrological sign at all.

Well, sometimes people BELIEVE that their love life would be better if they find someone who's star sign they're compatible with. I do think that they should date ANYONE they would like instead.

No it is true, all the signs who aren't compatible with my venus and mars signs...suck in bed and annoy or aggravate me. So (even tough I tried) I rather keep it with for me compatible signs at least they don't leave me unsatisfied.

Yep. I think it's stupid for people to go about living their lives under the control of horoscopes. Fate and Destiny do not have control over our lives, we are in control. We were given free will by God, why would things be pre-destined, as if we should all be like robots or drones, roving about on the earth?

I think there is some truth to astrology. In my experience I'm not compatible with Gemini.
And I don't give Gemini men the time of day. If I'm missing out, too bad. I can live with it.
