Well, the other day I saw a piece of paper on the ground while I was walking to my daughter's bus stop and I usually wouldn't have thought anything of it, but I saw some words printed on it and picked it up. It was a "pay it forward" card. Ever see the movie Pay It Forward? Same basic concept. I don't know how this particular one ended up on the ground, but I'm sure there are many in circulation. Kind of made me think. Someone must have really wanted to make the world a better place, to actually print the cards and start this thing. I think that's something anyone of any belief can do.

Tell a child that your proud of him/her, give someone a hug, ask someone how their doing & be ready 2 listen if they need 2 talk, tell some1 u love that u love them, say an encouraging word 2 some1 who is discouraged, play with a dog or a cat, throw breadcrumbs out 2 the squirrels & the birds, send an anynomous donation to a poor country, instead of having a yard sale donate your stuff 2 the different kinds of shelters, check on an ederly neighbor & bring soup, cut their grass 2, keep an open LOVING heart. We should all see that everyone has food to eat
clean water to drink,
A decent place to sleep
Medical help when hurt,
A school to learn how to read write and do math

Just doing these the world would change, But as far as random, we each see people in need, the person in front of you in the check out line who is a few coins short. The person in a hurry who only has one or two things, so you let them go first
The one who is sick, who yard needs mowed.

Here's a short list of things I try to do:
1. Hold the door for someone carrying stuff
2. Let someone check out ahead of you in the grocery store if they have fewer items than you do.
3. Let a driver in ahead of you in a traffic situation if he/she signals to move over.
4. Drop your pennies in the "Take a Penny-Leave a Penny" cup at the convenience store.
5. Say "please" and "thank you" to people in service positions (waitress, clerk, etc.).
6. Park neatly between the lines in a parking lot, so others can park next to you and you only use one space.
7. Put your cart in the "cart corral" at a store rather than leaving it just anywhere in the parking lot.
8. Smile at people.
9. Don't litter.
10. Drop a quarter in a parking meter if someone is close to running out of time.

Lastly, kindness has NOTHING to do with religion. I know more kind atheists than I know kind, decent religious people.

Hold a door open for somebody.
Let someone know if their tire is going flat or they left their gas tank open.
Say "I'm fine, HOW ARE YOU?" when greeted by people. I was in a fast food place once and the guy said "how are you today?" I said "I'm fine, how are you?" it stopped the guy cold. he told me I was the first person all day to ask him back how he was doing.
