Only rust and perforation is covered for 100,000 miles. Some paints have had a problem staying on. It's because of the primer and color of paint.

I was employed by a Dodge dealer from 94 to 99 and seen several paint peeling issues on different models, mostly Neons, Intrepids and Ram pick-ups. The manufacturer would only cover the paint if it was under warranty (usually 3 yrs-36000 mi.) The only exceptions I seen to this were when vehicles were just out of warranty and was purchased new from Dodge

Don't believe that the dealer will paint your car for nothing. Bottom line is this. When the neons came out, the clearcoat that they put on the paint to make it shine and protect the paint from fowl and hot weather was used very cheaply by Chrysler motors aka Dodge etc. It was made very cheaply. General motors and Ford use a cystalized clearcoat over the paint and then bake it into the car to protect it for a lot longer then Chrysler. My advice is either have it repainted or sell the car and buy another.

The peeling is led to via acid rain and absence of care.i could wager the colour is the two pink or black.i could additionally wager you reside close to a pair factories or the sea.that's a effortless failure of paint. The sparkling coat seperates from the paint.Maaco is intended to be very stable.i assume you have a base coat-sparkling coat.in case you do,make certain you get in spite of you ahd till now.I had a base coat-sparkling coat and my sparkling coat all started peeling.I went to Maaco and that they needed $2000 for a similar type of paint.Iwent to a community guy and he did an teeth for $800.The teeth does no longer have the intensity or shine of a BC/CC so that's as much as you.you should wash your vehicle @ a million time a month to bathe away atmospheric fall-out. you should wax a pink or Black vehicle atleast each 3 mos. in the south, each month in Florida,or as quickly as a year for all different circumstances.

No. Paint issues typically will be addressed by a manufacturer within the 3/36 warranty period or just barely out of that. 10 years after the fact, nobody will address it and they shouldn't.

well if there was a recall on the kind of paint used on the particular car yes they will repaint it. but just call the dealer and ask what kind of recalls are on that car.
