Is there any software for recording tv shows on a PS2?

Sorry to tell you, but no. In fact, there is no way to even get TV to come through your PS2. If you're looking for recording TV, try some computer software and listen to them. That's the best solution other than TiVo.

There was only one PS2 version, that was capable of doing it, it's called PSX, it was on sale in Japan only for a short period of time. Removed from production due to poor sales. Other versions can't record from TV.
