This one friend borrowed money from me and spent it on a bunch of junk right in front of me, after saying it was for food coz they were running out. Then the next week she's like, I need to get some more food. I didn't loan her again, but I feel bad for her. Why is she doing that?

I didn't loan to her again coz I literally gave her half of what I had left last week, and now I have nothing to loan anyways.

Good for you for not loaning her the money.

Tell her she needs to pay you back for the money you loaned her the other week.

Don't loan her anymore money at all.

A lot of people don't have very good money management skills. It can become quite a habit which is difficult to break out of. One reason why people just keep doing it.

Another reason is because they keep getting money when they ask to borrow some. So they might take advantage of that.

You were right not to lend her more, if she just spends it on junk when it was meant to be for something else.

Poor money management. Perhaps your friend could benefit from some guidance about how to track and manage her money.

Because they're addicted to the way they spent, it's hard for them to change.
