is it added to the essential oil to exend it, and what is the purpose of the carrier oil?

As essential oils are highly concentrated and volatile, we no not use it as its is, as a single drop may be to strong for consumers.

Carrier oils are solvents, which dilutes the essential oils. The oils are then well dispersed in them, and will be easier to dose with.

Furthermore, when using essential oils in a burner, the "neat" essential oils will heat up too quickly, causing the rooms o be filled immediately with the scent. However, the oil will also be burned up quickly. With carrier oils, which have much lower volatility, the time to use up the essential oils will be prolonged, hence giving a faint, lon lasting scents

A carrier OIL.... is used ONLY..... To Transport the OIL OF ESSENCE..... that is the Real Reason... that the OIL... is bought !

The MEDIUM.... is only the Base... Not the Essence!
