Well I wouldn't recommend it. As you know Tums slows down the acid production in your stomach so I don't know if this is safe for your dog. I think it would be best to call your vet and ask him before giving the dog Tums. Baby aspirin is safe for dogs. Just never give the dog Tylenol. Tylenol is poisonous to dogs.

I know aspirin is ok for dogs. It is good for their artritis. I can't tell you about Tums I have never heard of it ever being given to a pet before. You don't need to give med to animals everytime they are ill. They generally are able to get over it on their own if given time. If it is a reoccuring thing then it is probably something you should see a vet for.

Do you take aspirin or tums every time you get sick???
If the dog is sick for more than two days get it to the vets.

I don't know about tums, but aspirin is a blood thinner, they give it to people who have had heart attacks! I wouldn't give it to my dog. Whats wrong with your dog?

tums yes but make sure you give baby aspirins you can give a dog anything that a child can take

Aspirin is ok, but check with your vet for the dosage. I don't know about Tums. Tylenol is toxic to dogs. Don't ever give them that.

I use pepto for parvo puppies. One of my dogs does like cherry rolaids but he's strange I would stick with pepto or kaopectate.
Buffered aspirin is best if you are using over the counter stuff

My breeder suggests pepto bismol for a puppys upset stomach but i wouldnt give it tums.

no, never give you dog ppl meds. unless the vet. o.k.s it first! some of that stuff can kill your dog.
