For cook outs that will beat everybody it has to something that everybody loves in the area where you live. In my area no matter what the charity you serve a Tenderloin sandwish off the grill and the smell will draw everyone in that area. A steak sandwich will also do the trick, A talent show usually works to and you can have a cook out with it. Hitting them double can't hurt. Something for the vets like small flags and bumper stickers with what ever event you do works well to. Good luck!!

First you have to pick a charity that is close to all of you. Perhaps a vote. The easiest way I found to make money for charity's is to sell items. You could go to a candy warehouse in your city and sell candy. Their are all types of items you could sell to get money for a charity. I prefer to give the donations to the salvation army because I know the money gets where it supposed to. You could also find a local family n desperate need and adopt them for the holidays. There is a need for generous people everywhere.

Why don't you pick a charity and try recycling, this way you're helping two causes at once. You can collect old cell phones, pagers, PDA's, Palm Pilots, ink cartridges, iPods, and toner cartridges and then send them into recyclingforcharities.com and receive money for the charity of your choice. Good luck!!!

How about a pencil drive (and/or school supplies)? On a small scale you could ask your local business to make donations of items/gift cards and then hold a raffle with these items. People bring in a package of pencils (etc...) and each package gets them a (double) ticket. They then put their name on one ticket and put it in the basket or bag next to the item of choice they would like to win - keeping the other half of the ticket with their number on it - just in case they leave the event. Or you could just sell tickets for money but post that you are raising the money for pencils/school supplies to be donated.
