Do you agree? or.... I'm a Christian. I respect Huckabee's integrity, but I'm not seriously considering voting for him. For one; dude it's just not going to happen. Are there any Christians out there who think that voting for a bonafide pastor is the righteous thing to do over voting for the one who makes the most sense/but also has a chance; even if your comprimising a little in order to avoid a worse evil? Or do you feel that it is best to vote for a loss in order to bear a witness and leave the results up to God?
(please; no sulking, rebellious, adolescent, Christian haters respond. this is a question I honestly want reasonable people to respond to. Christian or non)

I unfortunately as a Christian do not see a lot of choices other than Huckabee. And if you think about it, he is the only candidate to successfully beat the Clintons twice. Anyway, I am sure that it will be a Giuliani Clinton Election. What scares me is that Giuliani might be a fiscal conservative he is a liberal on a lot of moral issues, which is where I as a conservative Republican tend to lay the bulk of my decision when choosing a candidate. He wobbles on Gun Control and has called the NRA an extremist faction. He supported using public funding for Abortions in the 80's and than again in 2007. His voting record shows his unwillingness to support a ban on Partial Birth abortion in the 80's and recently flipped his support saying the Supreme Court was right in it's ban. I out of good conscience can not support a liberal that is running on the Republican Ticket.
This man's response to 9/11 was wonderful however!
I can not support a person who flip flops as much as Guiliani does a true Liberal in Republican clothing.

I think Huckabee has a fair shot at the Republican nomination, if everyone would quit insisting that he can't possibly win. Republicans need to think really hard about it before choosing Rudy as the nominee, because if Rudy wins, you will be forever changing the platform of the Republican party. He is pro-choice. And if a pro-choice Republican is elected as president, there will be no going back. It would be better for the Republican party to elect a Democrat than a pro-choice Republican, and then try to start over in 2012 with more "Republican" nominees.
And hey, I'm not a Republican. I'm just an observer.

Looks like Huckabee embodies the priciples and integrity I look for in a President, so he has my vote in the primaries. He may not win the Republican nomination, but I can at least have a clear conscience when I exit the polling booth.
Now, when it comes to the general election, that's another story and will depend on who gets the Republican nomination (but even as I say that, I cannot imagine EVER voting for a Democratic nominee, at least not today's democrats).

It's really going to be a non-issue even if anyone does vote for Huckabee, there is no way he makes it out of the primaries. Republican side will likely be either Giuliani, Thompson, Romney, or maybe McCain if he doesn't go fully bankrupt. Huckabee will not get that far.

Bacause Christianity represents a set of values. in spite of the actuality that i do no longer consider non secular balloting and have self assurance in separation of church and state. Allthough i do no longer help Huckabee, he grew to become into at a time a minister and he's giving human beings the easy actuality approximately himself. Pigmentation of dermis isn't a set of values. Obama did no longer bypass interior the direction of the struggles of blacks in u . s . a .. He lived area of his existence distant places in Muslim international locations and has no longer completed something to tutor that he's able to combating for and succeeding in advancing black human beings and their values. i think of it is the version.

I think he is by far the best candidate for the job............I'm just not sure if he is well known enough to be electable though.
He has good Family Value beliefs.
There is NOT one Demmy that has good Family Value beliefs by their own admission
They are all for embryonic stem cell reseach
They are for abortion
They want God OUT of public life while allowing other religions in
They want gay marriage, or at least domestic partnerships
They want contraceptives to be given out in schools
No........we need better moral values for our Families

I'm a Republican, but he was the governor of Arkansas. Tainted with the stench of Clinton.
