actually medications developed from plants include aspirin (willow bark) Taxol (Yew, treats cancer), Chantix (golden rain tree, used in smoking cessation), quinine, Digoxin/digitoxin/digitalis (foxglove, used in CHF) and probably others. Granted, most of these drugs are synthetically developed since the amount in a plant is too low to be therapeutic, but that is their origin.

People use aloe vera, for burns, cuts, they even drink it(blended first) to heal themselves from the inside out.
Marijuana(schools should accept this answer) is used for pain by ppl suffering from cancer, and other illness.
Tea leaves, such as chamomile, used to calm nerves.
Ginseng root, for energy.

aloe vera. pacific yew is source of cancer drug. thyme has been shown to slow down the ageing process by maintaining the vigour of our body cells; sage is an excellent antiseptic for treating mouth ulcers and sore throats; camomile is a safe treatment for childrens' stomach upsets and garlic contains fungicides and is used in the treatment of Candida.
