dear brothers/sisters
i am hindu ,how can i become a christian?.i now dont believe in those idols and started to hate them.please tell me whether i can become christian.if so ,what should i do.my friends tell me that i should not worship Jesus" or mother marys" idol.they themselves are also not a christian.please tell what should i do.i really dont have any other way to know this as i dont have any access to any of the information.my inly acess is yahoo answers.please help me.i dont want this false religion hinduism and those false deities(we worship some 5000 false deities).they are blood sucking demons.i am from India and i watch god channel daily.i found it really peaceful to be with jesus.thank you brothers and sisters for your answers in advance.

Jesus is alive right now. GOD can hear your prayers and will reveal himself to everyone who seeks him. Jesus died so that we can have a personal relationship with GOD. So if you want to be a Christian then simply accept that Jesus died on the cross for your sins and use that gift to ask GOD for a new life in Jesus. Ask also for the Holy Spirit. Then through prayer listen for GOD to start speaking to you. He has a plan for your life and it is more wonderful then anything we could dream up. If you discover that something you are doing is wrong or sinful then make a decision to stop it and trust GOD to help you do that.

Stop this nonsense.Don't try to act like you really are hindu and desperate to convert in to Christianity.I doubt you are a christian already and wanted to defame hinduism.If you really don't like some religion simply do whatever you want.Why cursing?That means you have bigotry in your heart and taking this as an opportunity to show it.The question is not so convincing as if you want Christianity they are found everywhere in India,literally selling the religion and bribing people to convert.So it shouldn't be that difficult for you to find a pastor or a sister who will be more than happy or even they will pay you money if you convert.So stop acting and be rational.The kind of a person you are as you sound like you won't like any religion,because you don't know how to respect someone's beliefs.No one can save you from hell, not even Jesus unless you act like a matured person.Go for a mental check up.

The ABC A admit to God you are a sinner B believe that Jesus is God's son C confess your faith in Jesus as your saviour pray some thing like this(It's noting to do with the words-it's your heart) God i know i have done a lot of things wrong will you forgive me and come in to my life as my saviour.
It's a good thing that you're realizing that the gods you have are just made of materials and they're not the one true God who hears you from heaven and provided Jesus as the ultimate sacrifice for all of our sins, so that we too can come to God. Now you need a Bible to read(both New and Old Testaments(the old Testament) will have many passages that will show you where these had idols because they couldn't see God and they felt they need a god who was right there w/ them(God is always present even though we can't see Him). There are also many verses that are leading up to Jesus, then in the New Testament you'll discover Jesus and all He went through in the first 4 Chapters(they are known as the Gospels and are told by different people in their view of how things went w/ Jesus-that's why they vary some). I suggest a NIV. I know there are Christian's and organizations in your area and online-so they should be able to help you with a Bible. God Bless and welcome to His family!

Alright .... I am very stirred up by this...
I am a westerner and have come to a very beautiful love and acceptance of Lord Jesus... which is a diluted version of his real name... Yehoshua.
The name if you would parallel with Hinduism and sanskrit , would be Hari...
The reliever of the distress of the afflicted.
If you are listening to Hindus criticize Jesus... and or if you are listening to Christians blaspheming the Name of the Supream Lord... Hari
You need to renounce those associations... they until joined with their lord ( ista Deva ) are the demons.
Here is a small list of the Most worshiped Gods and Goddesses of your religion.
Oh and If you have real knowledge of any or all of these individuals.... why the hell would you ever be so rude as to call them blood sucking demons...

Durga.... only kills demons and protects the devotees... and you know she has many names for different purposes... so even thought there may be 200 different names or rather 1000 different names for Devi... Durga. she is one. Including Kali... who only drank the blood of the one demon who when his blood touched the earth would become a whole new body ... I too am an Indian, & had faced similar dilemma earlier. I came out of it eventually.
Your parents had optimistically named U as Archana , meaning Pooja. Obviously U R a Brahmin or similar High Caste Hindu.
Why do U want to forsake that pleaure, culture & legacy of serene Hinduism ?
More & more Westerners (= Christians) R attracted to India , & R coming here in search of God, peace & Tranquility.Obviously they do not find it in Christianity.
Why do U label Hindu Gods as false gods / demons, when 1000000000 Indians R daily worshipping them ?
Eschew your confusion, dont change your religion in Haste. Search for peace & happiness within self, U wont find it anywhere outside.

If you found Peace in Jesus, you are already a Christain. I was in India last year,and was surprised how many Christian Churches there were.At Mahatma Gandhi's Memorial I met a Hindu man who has a Christian wife and they invited me home for tea. They were very happy together and have a lovely family.I really enjoyed the visit.Love and Peace.

Changing religion will not bring any change in you. I am not sure how old you are but I assume you are an adult. If you could not become Hindu in so many years when Hinduism is so tolerant and allows freedom of thought,how can you become christian that preaches an outdated and one-sided theology.

Accept Jesus is the son of God, he is your Lord and saviour, confess your sins to him and tell him you accept he came to die for you. and that he rose again so you can have eternal life and you become a part of the FAMILY of God.
