Since there were an estimated 30 million people alive at the time, could we say that God killed 2-5 million infants?

Jonny B: You mean the same ones that suffered horribly painful asphyxiation before they were brought into his "loving" arms?

AND THEN God had the nerve to call out His own chosen people whose infants would be saved if they died, as opposed to the rest of the world that (Gasp! No Fair!) would NOT be saved. And even the Israelites weren't completely assured of that salvation. Look at Jacob and Esau, both circumcised, yet God loved one and hated the other.

What a mean, nasty God we worship. The nerve of Jesus to say the he loved the world!!! The ONLY thing that justifies God being so "bad" is...

...if we all deserve Hell. If none of us merit Heaven, INCLUDING "defenseless" babies. If God would have been completely righteous in destroying the world with a flood, and killing firstborn sons, etc.

Nah. Man is good, or at least good enough. And good enough gets you to heaven...doesn't it???

The Bible does not say how many infants were alive at that time.

The asker seems to think that God is to blame for the death of anyone who died in that Flood. God provided warning to everyone- for many years they watched Noah build an ark and he spent some time preaching, warning everyone.

They mocked him, thought he was a fool. Parents are responsible for their children, and they should have provided refuge for their children in the ark. They were the ones who kept infants out of the ark- they are to blame.

What do you think would have happened to Noah had he tried to forcibly take the infants away from their parents? Wouldn't he have been beaten up, killed?

Both Noah and God did their parts- the death of all those people was on their own heads.

Imagine a world full of Hitlers and Stalin's and Mugabe's and jack the rippers and every evil kind of person.... then along comes the flood!!!!
This is my belief,
God took out these people before they lived up to their full evil potential! I could think of a few modern day people I wish could be removed from the picture to leave the rest of us peace loving Christians Muslims , Jews and atheists to get on with life, but it is not that simple is it!!!!!!

Well If you are addmiting that i was in fact God who did it, them I would say to you. He gave them life, and less than a second latter They were eternal happiness. The only people that suffer from death are the ones that go to hell, or those people left behind that understandably question what happened to there love one. It would take someone with exceptional faith, to not have a little bit of anguish over death. But If someone was able to see there love one in heaven they could realise death is not evil at all.

I heard drowning is a painless death. And all people will eventually die. It is having eternal life that matters. Babies have eternal life. If you aren't a believer they are all better off than you are .Repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as the Son of God who died for your sins so you can have eternal life as those infants in the flood.

God was just in his decision...those who perished in the flood recieved God's judgement of death, not life in heaven. The babies were included because the parents refused to listen to Noah. They would have grown up to be like their parents...wicked and deserving to be destroyed.

God delights and plesurises himself killing babies!

Hosea 9:14-16 (NIV) (the prophet prays to the LORD!!!...) Give them, O LORD— what will you give them? Give them wombs that miscarry and breasts that are dry. (And God rushes to answer him on the spot!!!) "Because of all their wickedness in Gilgal, I hated them there. Because of their sinful deeds, I will drive them out of my house. I will no longer love them; all their leaders are rebellious. Ephraim is blighted, their root is withered, they yield no fruit. Even if they bear children, I will slay their cherished offspring."

Isn’t God so wonderful??? He always answers our prayer if we ask him “according to his will”!

Jer 16:3-4 (NIV) For this is what the LORD says about the sons and daughters* (*babies) born in this land and about the women who are their mothers and the men who are their fathers: "They will die of deadly diseases. They will not be mourned or buried but will be like refuse lying on the ground. They will perish by sword and famine, and their dead bodies will become food for the birds of the air and the beasts of the earth."

Job 9:23 (NIV) When a scourge brings sudden death, he* (*God) mocks the despair of the innocent.

God the Holy Ghost inspired the Bible writers to tell us like it was…

Psalm 78:65 “THEN THE LORD AWOKE AS FROM SLEEP, AS A MAN WAKES FROM THE STUPOR OF WINE.”

Yeah… God had red eyes… He was vomiting all over and cursing like Hell… ready to begin the big day of the flood killing innocent babies and all the animals and everybody else.

Is this the Judeo/Christian Bible God that we all need to believe and fear to be saved???

Only the fish survived the flood... even though the salt and fresh water were blended together... The FISH became the Christian symbol of Victory!

They find a way to defend that and it amazes me.

What about the innocent animals.

I asked this question and they reported it. They don't like the story of Noah to be scrutinized too closely. I wonder why! I won that appeal though.

At the time of the flood people were very evil. I have noticed that evil people don't like babies and don,t want children. the people were probably sacrificing babies to false gods.
