Since, America is a Christian Nation, shouldn't the kids be taught the truth, which is, we were created by a Christian God. It's stupid to tell kids that we evolved from a bunch of dim-witted monkeys.

The Bible does not "prove" anything. Science proved that we evolved from lower primates, which in turn evolved from even lower life forms. The Bible is a book written by people the same way Stephen King or Tom Clancy write books. We like to teach our children facts so that they can learn. There is also this thing called the separation of church and state in this country. Since most classrooms are made up children with a number of different religious backgrounds, who's religion should we teach?

The bible doesn't scientifically "prove" anything. America is a country of the free, and as such we choose to worship for ourselves. We have a separation of religion and state. We are a country founded in order not to be dictated to how we believe. That's where true faith comes in. Evolution is a part of life, and lesser creatures do evolve, as a product of our loving God's design for the world. Humans, however, didn't evolve from monkeys, but humans have a need to discover where we came from, and it's the closest explanation science has.

i was never taught evolution in school, did get the whole god thing pushed on me though very heavily when i was a kid. Its like that now my sisters school which is public has a religious class jsut about catholics. If it was a catholic primary school i would be fine with that but with public schools it isnt jsut one religion going to those schools so jsut one religion cannot be taught maybe making kids aware of religion is an idea but not forcing beliefs onto them at such a young age.

You know the saying about ASSume? This is a secular nation. No state religion. There is separation of church and state. Majority doesn't rule there. There will be no vote on it because our Constitution protects us from being a theocracy. Creationism is not science, it is pseudo-science and the Bible proves nothing. Evolution is science and fact, which is why it is taught in public schools. If you don't like it, you have several options. Home schooling. Private schools. Parochial schools.

The Bible is religion and it does not belong in a classroom but in a place of worship or a private place, also the Bible makes a claim that it cannot prove.
Evolution is real science and has a vast amount of evidence as proof to back it up, it is quite proper that it be taught in the classroom.

Riddle me this sir
If America is in fact a Christian Nation founded by good Christian men who were so devout and pious that they would make today's' Fundie's look like a bunch of atheists, why did they neglect to include an allegiance to the faith requirement in the US Constitution ?

The Bible proves nothing of the sort my friend, think again. America is not a Christian country, and the Christian god is not the only one out there.

The Bible was written by man, not God. It's not true. Oh, and by the way, nowhere in the thoery of evolution does it say we evolved from monkeys or apes. The fact that you said that proves who the dim-witted one really is.

First of all is there any quantitative proof that we were created.
When we read Scripture we have to have faith because there is no concrete proof of Creation. I am very afraid that monkeys would distance themselves from the human race because of what we have done in the name of religion. ie the Inquistion and
religious wars. I suggest that if you do not agree with the theory of evolution, you should go to parochial school or if you are older send your kids to parochial school or home school them.
