Essentially, the result is the same when you compare a Suicide Bomber with a Military Hero. Both have given their lives for their beliefs. In the Middle East, the Young strap on belts with explosives. We give our Young guns and other explosives and send them off to battle. The Martyr's family is given money to support themselves with. We hand out posthumous medals and honor the families for their sacrifice. When you boil it down, is there any difference between the two methods of combat? We believe that God rewards the Hero in Heaven. They believe that Allah rewards the Martyr. Is one method of winning a war or fighting for a Cause any different than the other, when you strip away the cultural and religious differences?

There is so many people that think by doing JIHAD in their own definition, they can go to heaven & be freed by the world plagues but apparently they are just lack of any understanding about their own religion principles too
Jihad is determined by God so even if they thought suicide bomber is one of Jihad, as long as God think different, they will die in vain & hopelessly

Because this, the Martyr comes very differently in terms with military hero
A martyr never get any respect from the different or enemies side while the military hero or aces almost get the high respect from the enemies too
Even the Churchill in WW2 is known for given the highest respect to Erwin Rommel & Gunther Prien during the parlement meeting while there is none ever give respect for the suicide bombers

A martyr definition always comes almost exclusively from one side while the military hero almost come & get respected by each side in war

The martyr method is just to brainwashed any Iraqi people who already lost their hope, belief, and shaken
When their died, they just get some respect only from their side & family and absolutely NONE from their adversary

While the military hero comes from the war as the one who always do the best of the best to finished the war ASAP (even sometimes its need a lot of casualty)
When their die, they always get respect from each other side
Exp : Red Baron die, Wittmann die, Rommel die, they all still get the highest respect from even their adversary !!!

@m1a1mike
Sorry to disappointed u Bro !

But do u think that by killed any Iraqi children & family plus destroyed & ruined their already miserable life ARE NO WRONG result ??
Wow if u think that as a no wrong doing, then maybe I suggest u to search the TRUE DEFINITION of the "NO WRONG DOING" in English & social dicitionary !

Yeah, maybe all of our soldier BEHAVE WITHIN LIMIT but unfortunately the stuff that killed so many innocent children & destroyed many civilian building in Iraq is not our SOLDIERS but their BULLETS & MISSILES !
Still the result is always give so many child became dead or orphan

Yeah, maybe all of this poor & unfortunate child is a cadet of future terrorist BUT don't forget that they are just A CHILD that doesn't so lucky fo live happily like our child do in USA !

Plus because they are just a child, they can be brainwashed so easily by their evil mentor that our soldiers should CAPTURE & maybe killed, not their useless & pathetic plus unfortunate little pawns !
We should help & guide these poor & brainwashed child to right ways NOT BY KILLING them cruelly by missiles

Its very funny & pathetic to know that our super advanced & complex missiles &weaponry system always bring more death to innocent Iraq people than THE TERRORIST we should kill or capture

Just because our soldiers believe isn't in a mission from GOD, there are so many things that can get awfully too
Do u forget how easily the Brits soldier died in their friendly fire ??? do u think that is not one of the wrong doing things ???

Then how u can blame to media that gives the TRUE honest news about the horror of Iraqi war ???
Plz try to positioned yourself in these poor unfortunate Iraqi people shoes !

Do u feel any kind of empathy if once in a times, u live as a Iraqi that live in Iraqi war period & just to know that the USA media will EDUCATE the American people that their soldiers is just do NO WRONG DOING when all they do is just BLINDLY shoot & kill anything (family, friends) who moves, looks, and speak like an Iraqi cuz our soldier is so freaking afraid about the Iraq suicide bomber despite the USA soldier go to so much expensive advanced training & wear so much expensive toys that still pretty useless to differentiate & identify the true terrorist ???

Its truly a pretty sad cuz while our soldier always failed to stop & destroy the suicide bomber chain of command & in other hands, our warfare always bring destruction to any innocent child & people

The results are not the same when you compare a military hero to a suicide bomber. A U.S. military is bound by the laws of war. In the middle east only a few small percentage of the young strap on suicide belts and I mean a very few. Our young are trained and volunteer before being sent off to battle. Their young might be told we are going to kill your entire family if you don't blow yourself up. Trust me, I witnessed these so called "suicide bombers" with their hands handcuffed to the steering wheel, and personally witnessed their stories after we captured them about how their family were being threatned. How the hell do you know that a Martyr's family is being rewarded? Did CNN tell you that? Our posthumous medals are small in comparison to the medals we give our living "also heros" So yes their is a difference in the methods of combat and we don't believe God rewards the hero in heaven. I read the bible several times and my God rewards those who abide by the Bible. Their god "allah" or whatever they call him didn't write the Quran, a guy named muhammad did after he won some major battles. And as for your last question, the answer is Yes, we have methods of totally wipeing out the enemy, but because we are not suicide bombers or terrorists we don't use our Nukes. If they had them they would use them. muhammad or mohammad or whatever his name was is a self proclaimed prophet. His entire group of followers lives in the desert and 99% of them are so poor they can't even pay attention. Maybe you should go to Iraq or Afganistan and see who beheads you first, my bet would be an insurgent not an American.

In my opinion, a "martyr" like a suicide bomber will not go to heaven. He has committed a sin, murder.
A military hero may or may not go to heaven. He is fighting in the war because he joined the military. He likely becomes a hero because of circumstances. If he is not right with God in the first place, being heroic in combat will not get him into heaven.

Hero's do not die blowing up a bus, a pizza joint, a Mosque or shoppers at an open market.

Hero's can live thru the experience too.

I prefer Moron to the word Martyr. You are aware they are running low on virgin camels in Paradise. They only get 3 now with a goat as backup plus a bottle of baby oil.

There is a huge difference.

First of all - our troops do not go out and commit suicide based on religious extremism.

Our soldiers rationally assess risk and plan operations with the intent of minimizing those risks - both to themselves and to civilians.

Another big difference between our soldiers and their martyrs is that our soldiers behave within limits. Unlike our enemy we do not believe that we are on a 'mission from god' and as a result - we can do no wrong.

I listened to the Ranger speak on a radio show that expressed that the "true" martyrs of this war are those Americans who return home in a body bag. I agree with the soldier, if anyone should be labeled as martyrs it should be those true of heart and interested in protecting people and not those that primarily kill the innocent to accomplish their goal.

A martyr dies for his beliefs (right or wrong) and usually dies at the hands of others without a fight.
A hero dies fighting for his beliefs.
A suicide bomber is not a martyr, he's a murderer.

The main difference between the death of Jesus Christ and that of either, Socrates, "war heroes" is the reason which makes Christianity unique from "religion" ... that is the resurrection from the dead into life, eternal, where He [Jesus] sits on the right hand of God, the Father, as our High Priest - after the order of Melchizedek, making intercession for us.

We do not willingly blow ourselves up to kill others. How can you even compare the two. I do not believe in god, but would give my life to protect others, these suicide bombers die to kill others.....how dare you even try to compare them. In terms of religion, you cant strip away and boil down the differences, there is no comparison.
