Mark 16:15 (KJV)

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature."

Us humans have all heard about Christ by now but there's a lot of other animals out there need saving. Spend some time preaching to them.

Remember, this is what CHRIST said. It's in red. Go to it.

IN WHAT WAY CAN

"E V E R Y C R E A T U R E"

MEAN ANYTHING ELSE BUT EVERY CREATURE? The literal translation is "all of creation". It would have been simple enough to say "everyone" or "every person" but he specifically said "every creature" or "all of creation". You don't get to choose when the Bible is literal and when it's not. It's either all figurative or it's all literal.

Remember people, this is also where Jesus told his disciples that "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned", meaning that it only applied to male creatures. He also said that his followers would be able to play with deadly snakes, swallow poison without doing themselves any harm, and heal people just by touching them.

Am I misunderstanding something about what "taking in context" means?

Yes, you're misunderstanding quite a bit about context here. Just as when "mankind" is used throughout the Word to speak of the general populous, so is "he" in context, used in the same way. When speaking about not being harmed by poisonous snakes etc, it is talking about how when you are in a dangerous situation (but are doing God's WILL) He will protect you. I have seen idiotic people DELIBERATELY picking up snakes and such on television shows to supposedly "prove" that they are invincible according to this passage, and THEY are taking it out of context as well. God is not a "circus performer" who does sideshow entertainment for the egos of men...(or women; lol), but He absolutely DOES and WILL protect His children when they are doing as He's told them to do, should danger arise. It is for HIS Glory, not OURS....

Thank you for taking another verse out of context! It is clear that preaching the word is to be done to all creation and the context is that of those who may be saved. Only those who are made in God's image (mankind) have a soul and face condemnation therefore only they can respond to the Gospel message.

It's not all literal or all figurative; some of the Bible is literal some is poetic some is picture language. If you read and study it properly rather than simply picking the bits that suit you (and I know some Christians to exactly the same) then you will find its true meaning.

Have you ever tried preaching to a polar bear? These things are grumpy at the best of times, let alone when some do gooder comes banging on its dens door.

35They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. 36As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.

37When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:
38"Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!"[b]
"Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

39Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!"

40"I tell you," he replied, "if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

All of God's creations was created to worship God.

with a translation like that i would become an atheist .in my bible it says go forth and spread the gospel to all people

it just shows how the real gospel was turned into a devils kingdom, and today the majority of christians believe in the fairytale.
