The Swiss guard is provided by Switzerland and are not just a bunch of dressed up men playing at guards. They are a highly train group of men reputed to be in the same class as the SAS and SBS. So you would first need to be enlisted into the Swiss Army and undergo training similar to the \British Army. Once fully trained you would then need to be so good that you can be put forward for further training on the lines of the Marine Commandos. Your chances of actually finishing that course are about 1 in 50. Once you have done that and you will then be put onto further training for the next level as one would in the SAS. This would be a must pass course. All this would take about 4 or 5 years. If your not Swiss forget it.
