My oven is veeeeerrrrrrry slow, takes about 20-25 minutes just to pre-heat. I rarely use it at all, I never bake or make oven dinners from scratch either.

I don't think there's a difference in flavor when heating a TV dinner; of course a meal cooked from scratch tastes much better but a TV dinner is just as good or just as bland no matter how I heat it.

I use both. Microwave for fast stuff. Toaster oven for slower cooking and more flavor. Also, check the packaging to make sure you can cook the meal in both. Most likely you can.

A microwave causes tiny particles to jump into an excited state withen the food causeing friction and heat thus cooking the food.

Baking heats by removing moisture as the food heats up causing flavor within the food to be distributed throughout the meal. Thats why grannies pot roast taste so good and a microwaved dinner just does not stand up.

It all depends on if you are in a hurry or not. Our microwave is for warming and popcorn and heating items for football gamedays on the couch.

Hope that helps.

I don't own a microwave - and haven't for about 5 years or more now - I just wouldn't know what to do with one if I did have one!

I don't really know what a TV dinner is? We often have dinner in front of the TV, but we make it in the same way as any other dinner...
