I doesn't matter how old or young you are what is important you know that you can solve the problem all by yourself. But, you should tell to your mom including concerned family about the thing happen to you for them not to surprise or might be give you moral support. You disapoint you mom much better once she discover it to others. Don't let your pride on top of the situation. Be calm..

This all depends on how old you are. IF you are under 18, then you should tell your mom, not for any other reason than she could be fined for your actions. Heads up on a huge expense is always nice.
If you are older than 18, but still living at your mother's house, then you don't have to tell her, but I bet she will miss you and wonder where you are if you should be incarserated.
The best bet is always letting those who love you know what is going on in your life. Its about respect, and the loyality that only family has, trust your mother with your problem, and though she might be disappointed or angery at least she won't feel like a fool should someone else tell her about it.
Its always better when it comes from you.

You'll never be old enough to handle something w/o your mom's support.... Even if you want to handle the legal part on your own, let your mom know what's going on. She'll be more disappointed that you couldn't confide in her.....
Since you think that you're old enough to handle things on your own, BE A MAN and talk to your mother!

Tell her yourself before she finds out somewhere else. She's going to be disappointed and hurt no matter what but as least she'll appreciate the fact that she heard it from you rather than through a stranger or through the grape vine.

The best thing is to go see your mom, explain the situation, say you are very sorry to disappoint her but you wanted her to her the truth from you rather than from anyone else...She is your mom she loves you so she will probably tell you off then ask how she can help its the way MOST moms are they love their kids whatever. I hope this helps xx

You might want to let your mom know, just in case others are aware. I think she'd rather hear it from you than from some outside party.
We all make mistakes.
I hope it works out for you.

Mate, your mom will find out anyways so how about you tell her now to save your mom by hearing it the hard way i.e. from someone else

Why do you young people think you can hide something and nobody will find our or the problem will go away.
TELL HER... she is going to find out anyway and it's better if she hears it from you than the police or a neighbor or a friend... because she WILL find out.

Your mother will *always* love you, no matter what.
And she may be able to help you -- she might know a lawyer, or people who can help.
She'll be even more disappointed if you don't tell her, so I think you should.

You should tell her. You have no idea what you are up against. If you did, you would not have this problem in the first place.
You know a lot less than you think you do.
