In order for this to be possible, of course, we would have to have a soul to sell. But we don't. From the beginning, the Bible teaches that we do not possess a soul; we ARE a soul. Thus Adam came to be a living soul (Genesis 2:7). Moreover, even animals are souls. See for example, Numbers 31:28 where animals are spoken of as souls. The Hebrew word variously translated as soul or person is nephesh - it is the word used. Furthermore, that the soul can, and does, die is clear from Joshua 11:11, where every soul (nephesh) in the city was killed. That is to say, every person.
So we don't have a soul – we are a soul. Therefore, there is nothing to sell. Besides, Satan is not interested in keeping us alive. He is interested in our deaths – our eternal deaths. Even if we had something inside us to sell, this would not be the unforgivable sin. The unforgivable sin is, plainly stated in scripture, blasphemy against the Holy Spirit.
The punishment for unrepentant sin is death. Death, Biblically, is the absence of life. Death is not another kind of life. Death is not a life in paradise somewhere or life in eternal agony and torment. Death is the absence of life. Death is also what Satan will experience soon enough. That is why he wants us to be dead too.

The only unforgiveable sin is not believing in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior so as to obtain forgiveness of all your sins, past, present or future and the Gift of God's grace and His righteousness to be a an overcomer. Christians are exhorted not to love the world and to be in the world but not of the world. As the devil is in control of the world anyone too absorbed with worldly things is subject to the devil's power. Under the New Covenant what is said without the anointing of the Holy Spirit and not in line with grace and truth does not have God's power to produce a good result. What happens when you say something negative or against God is to invite the devil's attack on you. Once you fall out of God's grace and His protection by acting in your flesh the devil has you.

The devil has to exist before you can sell your soul to him or it, whatever the devil is. Metaphorically you can sell your soul, by being a down right nasty person, who acts against humanity, because the more bad deeds you get away with the easier it becomes and the farther away from humanity you become, until eventually you lose all sense of what is right and wrong, and you lose your sense of morals etc. That is selling your soul to the devil. Many people are doing it these days. ;-)

it is pretty easy to do. I once, accidentally, sold my soul. I urgently needed scissors, and I couldn't find them anywhere, so I just said aloud "I will sell my soul to a devil for a pair of scissors" (just as a figure of speech), but then I turned around and found them laying openly in front of me on my desk!
So now my poor soul is lost!

Whats the exchange rate at the moment? Considering the glut of souls God is creating in the afterlife stockmarket I suspect it's dropped recently...

The only way to end up in hell is to refuse to believe to your dying breath that Jesus, who is God, died for your sins on the cross and rose again. Everything else is forgiveable if you believe this about Jesus.

Every time we do something wrong/selfish we are selling our soul; giving in to our lower nature/Satan. Other than this, there is no selling the soul to Satan.

God created everything; therefore, he owns everything, including your soul. You cannot sell what you don’t own.
I’d be more worried about what He’s going to do with your soul.

no the devil has to appear in front of you, usually he will offer you some tea and crumpets. then he pulls out a contract for you to sign, you should have your lawyer take a look at it before signing . if all goes well you have done it!
