I have severe nerve damage and my back is always in pain...I take pain pills, try and keep my legs up, if i sit with them down like you normally do in a chair, oh boy bad pain....Soaking in the tub, hot tub is better...No ice for me because of the nerve damage...Sometimes just laying down flat and stretching a bit helps....

i usually use ice packs with fair result, and Motrin. Sometimes when it gets really bad i will get vicodin from my doctor.

You may want to look into taking flax seed oil. It is good for inflammation, and has really made my back better. Its also really good for your heart.

well i only tend to get minor back aches but when i do i just try and take it easy.
Generally they don't hurt enough for me to take a panadol or something so i just rest and don't go twisting it and normally its fine in a couple of days.
