If the Bible never existed how would you know God? Have you been told what to believe or do you actually know through experience of meeting the higher one called God?

Ive had a strange experience, but am not religious at all. After many bad things in my life i tried to promote people to treat each other right, the consequence a lot of bad things occured. My son said see, see 67, (i was flicking through my friends bible) i came across the words- psalm 67-see,see your son has been touched by the hands of god. Ive searched everywhere for that line, even the bible i read it in and it doesnt exist! Ive never bn to church, prayed etc, i believe in evolution not created by god. So part of me believes there is something.

Everything I know of the Christian God is from the Bible or from people who have read the Bible. I've never had a personal experience that obviously had to do with God that I know of.

I'm a non-believer but think almost anything is possible.

Religion is learned and nothing more. Parents and schools and churches essentially indoctrinate their followers. Africe didn't experience Chrostianity until Imperialism brought it there and forced it upon the people at the point of the sword. The same goes for Native Australians and South Americans and North Americans. They had no Bible but had completely different religion.

Also, all the Christians around today would be talking about Allah had they been born and raised in the Middle East to Muslim families. They would be stating that Islam was right.

Essentially religion is a product of family belief, school teaching and the society in which you are brought up in.

there is something out there and what it is I do not know . Some would call it god, others have another name for it , God is a term that people use to try and explain the unexplainable , But as far as I concerned, there is an energy source out there, that can be tapped into ,and with this force a person can do things that are considered miracles, and other unexplainable things that defies science . So call it what you will

Ironically I did not "discover" God through the Bible - He found me - on the darkest night of my life, full of despair and suicidal thoughts - and then led me into the Bible with these comforting words:

"Do not be afraid for I am with you. Do not be discouraged for I am thy God. I will strengthen you, I will help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." - Isaiah 41:10

That was nine years ago - March 21, 1998 to be exact - and although I know it probably means nothing to you now - God literally saved my life through His word.

I can not imagine how any sane person could not recognize the voice and hand of God. I suppose there are those who live in such denial that they can block out Gods voice much as a school bus driver can block out the sound of the kids, but you would really haft to try. I have never been told anything about what to believe. I realized God was reaching out to me, and I reach back to him. I use his word to understand his plans for my life, as well as what to expect in the coming years for myself, my family and my nation. If I did not hear the calling of God, then I would become concerned.

The bible exists because there is a God so your question is without merit.

Good Luck!!!
