Who knows?
But, apparently, the recent PSP firmware upgraded part of the remote play feature and requires the PS3 to have version 2.0 installed. So folks are assuming it isn't that far off.
What'll be in it? There's only rumours (which seem to become more exaggerated each day), so best be prepared to be let down just in case.

Sony never had announced the date of update's release officially. Sony never had officially announced the details on update. I heard a rumor, that update'll be released on 1st of November, but I don't really trust those rumors, let's just wait.

well, they just came out with the update 1.94 with ratchet and clank. im assuming they will release that one 1st before they actaully release 2.0. maybe it will come out with home in spring 2008
