Why do you have a 2 week old puppy? Do you own the mother dog too or does someone else? No decent person would give a pup away at that age. That pup should be with it's mother until it is at least 7 weeks.
Does your puppy also have a discharge or bubbles coming from the nose, coughing, rattling or gurgling when breathing?
You should be taking that pup to a vet as soon as you can before it is too late.

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you this, but the mothers owner is wrong. There are several things a vet can do for an injured pup. I have a close friend that works for a local animal rescue group, and they confiscate injured, or neglected litters all the time. As a matter of fact, that's where I found one of our pit bull pups a few years back. So, I have been threw it first hand.
I would start by calling your vet, and explaining what the pup is doing. If the pup is having trouble breathing, they will probably tell you to come for an appt. ASAP. Then, your vet will be expecting you, and the pup.
Hopefully, that helps. Good luck.

A vet is who you need to ask for this. At only 2wks old tho, it can be tricky to decipfer an actual problem. Staffies are known to be a 'snuffily' type dog, even as adults they are known to snore and 'snuffle' a fair bit. As a very young pup, i think as long as she is feeding fine without an interruption in her suckling, and you are wiping her bottom regularly like her mum would, and she is passing waste normally she should be o.k. Try cutting back her feed so that you are feeding her, say, half the amount twice as often.. Are you giving her the designed puppy milk? Unnatural substitutes will cause bloat, which can explain the uncomfortable breathing.

Only two people ask the same question that popped in my head, why are you having to bottle feed a 2 week old puppy?
If the mothers owner is giving you advice(bad advice at that)then the mother dog is still around.
Get that pup to the vet.

I honestly wouldn't know what to do with a 2 week old pup who should be with her mother and littermates. Go on line and do some research, I've heard of a fading puppy formula for young pups that aren't doing well. And, yes do call your vet for help. Good luck.

why isnt she with her mother? Did mom reject her? Usually mother dogs will feed their young unless there is a problem. The mother dogs owner is wrong, a vet can help if possible but your pup may have major problems being that young and may not be able to be saved depending on what is wrong. I would take her to a vet if I were you.

No it's not true. If you are genuinely concerned for this pup, you need to get her in to be seen by a vet ASAP.

Your Mother is WRONG, there is a LOT a vet could do, like give her antibiotics if it's an infection, or an IV if she;'s dehydrated. True, vets can't always save them so young, but isn't it worth a shot?

This pup is WAY too young to be separated from its mother. I think its an excellent idea to get it to the vet ASAP.

The dogs isn't basically going to quickly come to you while he calls if he isn't in any respect been knowledgeable to know his call or the "come" command. you may desire to coach a dogs to answer verbal instructions. It takes staying power (shih tzus and yorkies are no longer between the neatest dogs), yet with practise he ought to learn how to return while referred to as. attempt sitting on one edge of the room with him on the different. call his call, mutually as patting your leg. If he comprises you, compliment him plenty and be very affectionate. you need to use a small handle as an incentive, yet that's no longer a sturdy thought by way of fact then they are going to anticipate nutrition. you need to make it so as that a dogs's maximum suitable reward is compliment from his proprietor. proceed to take a seat down him on one edge of the room with you on the different, calling for him, and then praising him if he does. finally he will learn what it ability. As for being annoyed with the girl who stated he became into 8 weeks....did no longer the very say the dogs became into 7-8 weeks? by way of fact of this his estimate contains 8 weeks, so the girl wasn't incorrect. to boot, she became into probable in basic terms rounding his age fairly than say something like, "7 weeks, 5 days, and 13 hours."
