Daniel smokes in the play Equus. He doesn’t smoke in life. It’s in the script.

I haven't seen a photo of Daniel Radcliffe smoking, but if he does then he must be a social smoker, who smokes when out socialising with friends.
Maybe he's smoking for a character he's playing. Smoking is harmful to you and others around you and not healthy.
Smoking is now banned in Australia in all public places like bars, cafes, restaurants, shopping centres, casinos, inside cars and anywhere with children/animals and pregnant women.
