I cleaned the dust from my 2-year-old computer and removed my single slot of memory then put it back. Immediately afterward, computer woudnt boot--I get a series of long tones. All power appears to be working, fans, lights etc, but the monitor shows no image. Replaced monitor and memory with new ones and that didnt help. I must have inadvertently disconnected something but I have no ide what. I checked mobo manual but cant figure out what the problem is. Please help. Any ideas?

The beep codes are a fault diagnosis tool found on the site on maker of your BIOS. I would perhaps think along the lines of static electrically generated when you dusted.
I assume the HDD LED doesn't flicker.
Hopefully reset the BIOS may fix it (remove batt and change the BIOS reset jumper temporarily).
Failing that a BIOS flash.
Then, video card, CPU and then MB.
Also make sure the dust is completely blown out as you may have relocated some dust to the wrong spot.

ravenhon told you to do the correct thing
find out what your BIOS model is
start>run>then type dxdiag>ok you will find the specification of your system and your Bios then go here and find the beep codes of your bios
http://www.bioscentral.com/
also Tom O and Arthur_L are asking you to do the correct thing and i also suspect bad attachment of cable and or hardware

Those tones mean something. You should figure out what kind of BIOS your PC has and then pull up a list of beep codes associated with it. Count the beeps and see what the code means.

What statement did the manual say? It is also possible video card is loosy, that could happen even if it seems snuggly in its slot.

I am still thinking it is the RAM, you can try it on the other ram slot, see if it help.

You may also check the Video card(if dedicated), whether it's loose.
