Serious question, found a beautiful kitten in my garden who has had obviously been abused, his tail is part missing, with patches of his fur shorn off and not from a fight, I have just taken him to the emergency vet and will take him to the rescue they recommended later today..made me sick.....how many besides me think this is atrocious and the offender should be jailed? How can anyone be that cruel to any animal?

Thanks for all the support, I unfortunately can keep the poor thing as I already have a cat and 3 dogs otherwise I would...the rescue is a non-kill and will foster until they find a perm home

people who do that should be jailed for a long time i don t know how anybody could be so sick as to hurt a little kitten. Our cat was a rescue cat and her previouse owners had burnt her with cigatettes and had scars all down her back it breaks my heart to think of anybody hurting her. Good on you for helping the moggie :)

I'd lock up the people who mistreat and abuse animals and subject them to the same things they did to the animal!
I've always 'rescued' my dogs and cats and volunteer at the local animal welfare centre and it sickens me how some people treat them! We are supposed to be the most intelligent species and 'humane' but I see very little evidence of it! Why and how people can be so cruel is something I'll never live long enough to understand!
Thank you for reminding me that some really decent people still exist and I'm sure if the Kitten could talk he'd say thank you too!
If you're anywhere near South Cumbria I'd be willing to take the little fellow!

Animal Cruelty is worse than abusing humans; animals cant tell anyone just how bad it is. Animals can't pick up the phone and ask for help. Jail is too good for those sick, twisted people.
When I moved in, my neighbor told me that a couple of years ago someone (on bonfire night) had tied her cat to a firework and set it alight. It's sick.

i agree people should be jailed for animal cruelty i have 2 dogs 1 was a rescue dog 2 cats 2 ferrets they are part of my family i cant understand why people hurt animals

My niece has a cat who's previous owner had cut off it's tail. She is still frightened by humans to this day because of the trauma she suffered as a kitten! Jail is too good for these sick perverts.

That is so mean animals deserve 2 b respected and treated like human the person who did this should b locked for being so cruel 2 such a small creature!!!!!!!!=)♥

I wish the penalty for cruelty to animals was harsher. It's one of the few things that really get to me. Unfortunately, a lot of time it's 'kids' that do that stuff and you find out they are being abused at home and they take it out on animals.

Awwww that is such a shame for the poor little thing to endure such cruelty....people can be so nasty and vicious....whoever did that to a defenseless and harmless creature should definately be locked up and the key thrown away...
Well done to you for coming to his rescue and aid, hope he gets well and ends up with a good home and owners that love him..

Whoever owns that cat deserves the same kind of treatment. I have no use for people who abuse animals. Can't you keep the poor little thing???

Yup. Makes me sick. It takes a differant kind of person that I dont think I could ever see it without doing something to the person that I would go to jail for.
