don't listen to people who say you cannot get pregnant on your period because you can!

I got pregnant through having unprotected sex on my period.

There i NO SAFE TIME to have sex other than when you use protection (condoms, the pill, etc) but even then there is a slight chance of pregnancy as no form of contraception offers 100% protection.

By the way, for future reference, the pulling out method is not a reliable form of protection either as pre-c*m contains sperm!

No, you cannot get pregnant while in periods. As someone has already suggested the first 7 days after period and the 7 days before the next due date are the safest. Day 10-14 are the most fertile ones, so do not take chances during that time. Contraceptives must be used, if you want to avoid pregnancy.

Hi,

You can not get pragnant during periods. The golden rule is 1st week (7 days) and last 7 days of a 28 days menstrual cycle are safe. A word of caution though - no method is 100% safe.

Its never safe. You can get pregnant anytime of the month depending on your menstrual cycle you can even ovulate up to 2 times in a month and ovulate without a period. So, if you have concerns talk about it with your partner. (ORAL SEX IS ALWAYS THE SAFEST)

Theoretically you can't get pregnant then but in practice people do. It's not completely safe. All women are different. Usually you ovulate in the middle of your cycle. But some women ovulate earlier or later and sometimes it's not regular. better not take the chance.
