Hahahaa! A teaser question from you now, Aussie!

Hmmm...well, while you can't make blanket statements about people...we are ALL individuals, after all...there are some generalities that tend to be true. From the Lebanese and Middle Eastern people I have known, it seems to me that they are, in general, much more open and passionate about expressing their feelings than us westerners.

I think the best way to explain what I mean is to give an example that I personally know of...

Several years ago a good friend of mine (Kamil) who was middle eastern was killed at work. Everyone was just completely numb..He was only 30 years old when it happened and was greatly loved by everyone who knew him...you just couldn't help it. He was a truly wonderful person.

At the funeral, the westerners were all doing the "stiff-upper-lip" deal, where you are torn up on the inside, but struggle not to show it, while his family members just let their grief pour out. They screamed...cried out loudly...howled...wailed...clung to his casket.

It was very difficult to see for those of us not of that culture, but to me...it seemed so unhypocritical...so real. They were acting the way we all were feeling and none of them were the least bit ashamed to show it.

So, anyway...that is my explanation for my answer...hope you understand what I mean...

EDIT:
Pssst! Angelina...I guess you must not know this, but Aussie IS Lebanese! LOL

I think the answer is extremely passionate. We feel things strongly and it comes out in how we express ourselves.
