how can i unlock a regular door lock?

I usually use a large pipe wrench to twist off the knob and then replace the knobset for lockouts.

or if you prefer a breezier drive, a 5 iron does nicely

for household doors,

try using a butter knife and stick it inside the crack of the door where thelock is and then try to pull the door open....just a guess. not really sure if it will work or not but worth a try..lol
