Its our expectation from ourselves that burden us. I often do this mistake and feel i have let myself down and later realize that these things hardly matter. success is very individualistic word,
Also i try to keep in my mind an important rule of life -
"Never let success hit you so hard that it reaches to your head and never let failures hit you so hard that it reaches to the bottom of your heart".
Once you do that you will love and respect yourself.

I get up early and take an hour out to think about what it is to be human and what it is to be me. I don't know if pondering things such as the relationship between the phenomenon of universal order and the phenomena of rational conciousness which can comprehend that order would be of any use to anyone else: nonetheless I find it helpful. I find it helps confirm in my own head the 'rightness' of my own existence... if that makes sense.
