Try putting cucumbers in your eyes... they feel cool. I think that's what "Cool as a cucumber" is meant to say.

I think the saying started in the 50's and no they didn't wear them to school,and no bumpers stickers.Cucumbers are kept cold who wants to eat a hot cucumbers?.

My dad use to forcefeed me these god awful things,,,, Cucumbers are the direct opisite of cool,,,, borderline vomit material ... ty lmfaO!
