Why, with a proper cake fork of course, how can one possibly eat a cake with a spoon, it's almost as unthinkable as using ones hands. What is this world coming to when people resort to eating like animals. Oh, I feel faint now, I'll have to go and lie down.
And after the b*llsh*t - hands if possible, cake fork if not or if in polite company (whatever that is!), ordinary fork if cake fork not available, spoon as last resort.

It really depends on what kind of cake we are talking about! Most cakes that can be sliced easily I would eat with my hand or use a tissue if it is slightly softer! However, if it was a very creamy cake or extremely soft then I would use a spoon or fork whatever is being offered!!!

I don't like cake. Too sweet. I think though , in terms of ettiquette, you are supposed to eat it with one of those silly little forks my mum had in the house but were never used.

It depends on the cake....if it is very sticky, I would rather use a fork....otherwise, I am happy to eat it with my hands.
