This is not an open challenge to Giuliani supporters. However, I honestly can not think of a reason why anyone would support him.

I can think of at least one reason for all the other candidates regardless of how much I despise them. But Giuliani, I really got nothing.

- He failed the firefighters in 911. They are launching a campaign against him now.
- He failed the cleanup crews of 911. Many of them are suffering from both short and long term illnesses.
- He LIED about 911. In one interview, he claimed he was warned. Later, he took his statement back.
- His whole campaign is 911, which is ironic...other than the fact that he happened to be the mayor, he really didn't contribute any leadership.

Again, I am NOT trying to sway people. I'm trying to see what I am not seeing and how he can possibly have any supporters.

[My statements above can be backed up by video sources. You can easily find them in news articles and archived news videos. I am happy to provide them upon your request

Lincoln - What you said emphasized my point even more. You didn't/couldn't state any reasons for support. Your point was only that he, along with others are imperfect?

Rick - 'just as qualified as any other' isn't really a good reason to support someone.

i guess there really aren't any Giuliani supporters here....

PlowMaster: I think I am quite reasonable at adopting a different perspective when given a convincing argument. Unfortunately, yours was not the case.

It seems like you have disregarded the points my message showed. You are once again, going back to 911, which the main heroes, the firefighters claimed he failed on. So who exactly is claiming him as the hero? Not the victims, not the heroes, oh.. HIM. What exactly did you mean he was in the front line? That he happened to have been the mayor at the time of attack? Do you think perhaps a more competent mayor (and president) would have prevented the attack instead of being 'in the frontline' after the fact? Read a little bit about the how long it normally takes to intercept a hijacked airline.

Bro, I feel your pain. I completely agree with what you said.

Worst, I am scared of his opinion on Iran War...the possible World War III.

Giuliani Supporter - would have to build an alter to the devil and sacrifice babies on it to stop my support.

Every person can be found to have failed or misspoken in someway shape or form. You can focus on that or you can focus on the whole person and the whole context of the times. I do not support Abortion, but it is not a deal breaker when it comes to Rudy, but with Hillary it is for example. The facts we were under attack. The building world trade 7 as government property held the emergency response center and he would be trapped. Almost 3000 died and there was an expectation that many were injured and trapped and at the time you don't say wait I need to test the air let the injured die and us be safe. That is not what first responders do. No Fire Fighters and Police put themselves in harms way so others can live. Rudy was there front line all the time. Not thinking let me find a safe desk to get behind. That is a quality of a true leader and that is a quality of my President I want. Not a waffler, not a lets see personality. Rudy will make all of you proud because in fact with Rudy War is less likely because as we saw with Reagan, Iran will back down if they see a true leader who is willing to give them a look at the stone age. Hillary, and for that matter all the Dem's will bring upon us War by their weakness on Defence. You will be begging for Rudy as your cities smoulder under a nuclear 9-11 because missile defence is too costly when the children need XYZ. My president is Rudy because I don't want to see War or 9-11 again.

I can see nothing in most of the candidates that I would vote for. Hillary proposes things that will make my taxes go up; Obama says a lot of words which mean nothing; McCain is soft on immigration; and list goes on and on. Rudy Giuliani is as qualified as any of the other losers.

This is why:
I will keep America on offense in the Terrorists’ War on Us.
I will end illegal immigration, secure our borders, and identify every non-citizen in our nation.
I will restore fiscal discipline and cut wasteful Washington spending.
I will cut taxes and reform the tax code.
I will impose accountability on Washington.
I will lead America towards energy independence.
I will give Americans more control over and access to health care with affordable and portable free-market solutions.
I will increase adoptions, decrease abortions, and protect the quality of life for our children.
I will reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges.
I will ensure that every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
I will provide access to a quality education to every child in America by giving real school choice to parents.
I will expand America's involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world.

That is what we need.

If his 9/11 shortcomings are his worst offense, he'll be a shoe-in candidate. If you're looking for perfection in a presidential candidate, you are on the wrong planet.
