It depends on how you're using the label "gay".

Some men have sex with men only when there are no other viable opportunities, and prefer women when circumstances change.

Some men prefer sex with men, but are impelled by mores, morals, society, or similar factors to marry women. (This was true for most homosexual men before the most recent century.)

Some men actually do change their sexual orientation over time, just as some people change from left-handed to right-handed, or from near-sighted to far-sighted. But this is rare, and unlikely to be achieved by effort.

He may prefer to marry a woman and have children but he will still be gay. It would be very doubtful that he would remain faithful to his wife because he sexually attracted to men.

obviously if your already thinking about it, sure why not. But maybe you might wanna let her know about this just so that she doesn't here it from someone else down the line. And don't get in a big hurry to get married if your not totally sure, Remember there is more than just your heart at stake here/

At least ... he's still hoping for a peaceful and quiet life.

Life is what we make it.

Sure.

The only problem is that you labeled him as "gay" in the first place, when he was probably bisexual all along.
