I can't come up with a catchy intro for this topic. Also, if you have any suggestions for the rest of this paper that would be aprreciated.

I would use the argument that we recruit 18 year-old boys to bear arms in foreign nations and die for our freedoms. Open something like...
"Alcohol can kill, but enemy bullets do a better job of it."
You'll have to present more arguments depending on the word-count requirement, but I believe a succint topic sentence like this grabs your audience by the boo-boo.

In a bar in Germany there's a youth group that probably meets regularly with thier parents and youth pastor for a few beers.
So why has America decided to draw the line at 21? Are our children less capable then they are? What are we saying about our culture?
