First time i heard of him was the Lilly Allen one called "oh my god", it was a remixed and totally different version of a kaiser Chiefs song and i loved it, like any dj he takes existing music and repackages it, makes it his own, adds certain things and creates like having the ingrediants to cook a great meal, BUT this last one called come on over Valerie, has less creativity and is just a basic cover so we tend to wonder what's he actually done to get the credit. I think future stuff will be more inventive.

He's a great producer - he has a knack of making good songs sound quirky and very listenable in a new way. But I think it will only work in the concept of an album under his name once - its a bit of a one trick pony. He'll probably then go back to just producing the likes of Amy Winehouse and Lilly Allen.

Mark Ronson has got a great talent in making other songs sound totally different. He cam make them into something totally new. There is no other artist who can do it as well as he can.

I know what you mean, plus the records he remakes are usually great songs anyway,he should try a new version of Agado do do or whatever that crap song was in the 80's,that would test his musical skills,Bono could sing it.

He produces covers of old and new songs using other artists' voices. Think about when timbaland releases songs, he only produces them, he doesn't sing or rap that much,
