I understand where you are coming from.
However..does not mean i agree with you.
You dont know why that girls is pregnant.. yes there is a possibility of her just "Sleeping around" wanting "Attention" and what not..
But some girls have been raped, and been forced to keep the baby.
Some 17 year olds live by themselfs..have their own house and been with their bf's for years..
I know these because i have friends in such situations.
And i dont think you should judge until you have really been there and experience it.
Parents can raise their kids right, and tought them all the values and good morals..
But the last decision lays in the hands of the kid.
The parent is not always going to be with the kid watching their every move..know if they are having sex or not.
Parents can only teach and HOPE that their kid will follow their advice.
But the choice is the not theirs.

society is changing. it's a living, breathing entity, and it will continue to change. it's the adults of today who are creating the television and media that suggests that these things are ok.... the adults that were raised by the older generation!
You can't watch your children 24/7, any more than you can lock them in their bedroom while you sleep. You need to do your best as a parent and hope that they make the choices that you would prefer. Also understand that they may well make an educated (or uneducated) decision.
I still stick to my opinion that we need to investigate the possibility of a reversable contraceptive that is administered at puberty, and when the couple choose to have it reversed, they can (no testing or exams, etc, just will eliminate accidental pregnancies). If a woman wants to become a single parent, they can do it, but there's no traps for anyone else!

I agree with what you are saying. I blame big name stores for a lot of it. Sexual marketing is thrust upon the youth today and we can all see the consequence's. Why do 10 year old girls need to wear a bra and g-string?
Kids are getting mobile phones younger, wearing more revealing clothes and makeup and they cannot escape sexuality. It is everywhere they turn.
Parents in general are more lenient and kids are out with their friends and coping with pier pressure. They don't want to be the last in their group of friends to still be a virgin. Unfortunately kids don't realise the consequence's until it is too late.

I agree with you, recently I read that there were girls as young as 11 in Maine getting pregnant. I feel that as the years pass by, one sees more teen parents and now it seems that there are children having children. Recently I saw the Tyra show in which young girls as young as 9 years old were taking vows to remain virgins and fathers took vows to help keep their daughters body, soul and mind pure. About 80% of those who do this remain virgins until their wedding night. I really think that as parents we should come together, speak to our children and promote to have a closer, more pure society. There is sex being promoted in magazines, books, and music and we must put a stop to it, or they will dirty our children's minds.

Well I know it wouldn't be my son coming to me saying that he got a girl pregnant that's for sure. Well, he is 14 months old right now. Also, I will teach him to wait after he gets married. I want him to realize that there is more in life than just to focus on girls. He could use his free time for school work, hanging with friends, sports, and etc. Kids today need to just be kids.

because of all the bull crap that is on TV these days. They see that people on there are doing it and then they want to do it but they don't know how to protect themselves. Somebody needs to stand up and make a change. These teenagers have the rest of their life in front of them and they are just throwing it away for 10 minutes of pleasure. What is our world coming to.
I totally agree with you and I'm gonna try my best as an American to talk young girls out of it.

You're very right. These young girls are turning to older men to make them feel wanted. It's a phase that most girls go through (wanting to be liked/wanted) but they should not be running to older guys.
Girls don't understand that these guys REALLY DO only want one thing, and that these guys are only having "deep" conversations with them to make them trust them more, and then have sex with them.
These problems can be helped.. but only in the home. Most school counselours don't know how to recognize this behavior, or don't do anything about it anymore.. so these girls grow up thinking it's okay, and that it's safer to run to their older boyfriend than to their families..

I think that kids under 18 should receive libido suppressant drugs to keep them from going all Energizer Bunny-like. If parents arent gonna step in and work these kids over, then the government should step in.

someone needs to knock some sense into them. they don't realize they are killing their childhood. society has gone mad and when they are on maury asking who the daddy is and they are playing pick 10, their parents need to be slapped. but their parents probably did the same thing so it's a cycle. let's stop the cycle people!
