i know Im not very far along, but it has actually been confirmed for a week and a half. I did 3 home pregnancy tests then went to doctor and had a blood test all 4 was positive. the dr said i am just one of the few women that just know when they are pregnant. I was the same way when I was pregnant with my daughter 10 years ag.

It happend to me!
Have you had intercourse in the past 72 hrs.? (or a vaginal exam?)
My OB said it's completely normal, it's because of all the excess blood flow down there.
(he described it as being the same as "scratching the inside of your nose with your fingernail" - completely harmless)
..I had spotting up until 18 weeks, I now have a 3.5 month old baby boy :)
It didn't affect him whatsoever! he came out perfect! (1 week late! :)
good luck to you! God bless!

My best advice is to call your doctor and get in for an appointment right away. Last February I went through the same thing that you are describing. After meeting with my doctor it turned out that I was experiencing the early stages of a miscarriage and within 4 days I lost my baby. At the time I was only 7 weeks pregnant. It started with mild discomfort and cramping but no bloody show. So I took a warm bath to relax and within a few hours I started noticing blood when I went to the bathroom.
Being in a swimming pool when you are pregnant should have no effect on you whatsoever...in fact, most doctors recommend water aerobics as a very effective form of exercise for pregnant women. However, if you were in a hot tub that is definately something that all doctors tell pregnant women to stay away from!
If I were you I would take this very seriously...it could turn out in the end to be nothing, but I would rather just be safe and get into my doctor.

:( Well since you are only 4 weeks along, this would be about the normal time for you to start your period. It may be a chemical pregnancy. That is where there IS a fertilized egg, you have increased HCG levels to show a positive on a pregnancy test, but the fertilized egg didnt implant in your uterus. Cramps and bright red blood are indication that this is a miscarriage and being that early in pregnancy, there wont be tissue like someone else said.

Not always does it mean its a miscarriage though, so I would definitally get to the E.R. as soon as possible to see what is going on. Good luck hun and you are in my prayers....

I found out I was Pregnant 4 days before my period, I had some brown spotting so I went to the ER and they said it was just implantation but if it ws bright red to be alarmed. I would go straight to the ER!! Good Luck and Take Care!

You are supposed to report any bleeding right away. Red blood can indicate a problem with the placenta. Call your doctor and speak to the on call person right away. 35 weeks and just had this conversation with my doctor on Tuesday.

If you have recently had intercourse, it's not at all unusual. The cervix softens during pregnancy, and intercourse can cause a small bit of damage and bleeding, but nothing to worry about. If that's not the problem, then giving your doctor a call wouldn't be a bad idea, just to be on the safe side.

Good luck!!

Brownish spotting is usually normal but bright red blood isn't so great as far as I know. Consult a doctor as soon as possible or phone the hospital to get information now.

It could be about the time that you would normally start your period. I don't think anything's wrong. Usually if you have a miscarriage the blood is darker and has chunks of tissue in it. But check with your doctor just in case. : )
