Why is everything black and white?

Question

Whenever you hear a question on race, it's always between white and black. What ever happened to the latinos? The only time you ever hear about them is when it comes to immigration. What about the Asians, and Indians? Do they not matter enough in this country? We aren't ALL white and black. By the way, I'm white.

I know what you mean but i don't just have a straight answer to this one. i can tell you that blacks are the only hated race on earth compare to others, i am not saying they are the only ones get criticised, discriminated and get all the unfair treatments, no but they get the most of all ridiculous acts. Historically, whites are known to hate blacks and this is proved by the colonialism that was in africa and slavery. I am not sure if there are other races who were also slaves but even if there are,not as it was with blacks.

Now they feel bad about blacks in the US but they forgot that it was their forefathers who brought them there even though they are going there now as immigrants. Let me also touch the thing of racism everywhere, my friend have a believe that it is "only whites who are racists" but i think he mean is only whites that discriminate other races the most but they are not the only racists. Is a rare fact on this earth to hear a white discriminated even though they are everywhere, whites are in africa, asia and other places but they are not discriminated against unless 1 in millions. In conclusion, black and white thing is something i hate man, i like and respect others just like myself thus i will never ever try to be racistic. Unless i am forced to sound like one on yahoo answers because of some questions posted here. Thank you for asking this important question, many whites can't think of it!!!!!

I think she is merely pointing out the fact that racial issues within this country do not mean only black and white, as well as pointing out that other ethnicities have racial issues. Now, I'm gonna say with whites cuz... lets face it, it's mainly always white vs whoever.

Here in S Dakota, it's basically white vs indian. It's a damn western out here. I'm suprised these people haven't get congress to pass getting fluffin clint eastwood on mt. rushmore. So diff, such a culture shock... from say cali, where i grew up. Now there... i saw a lot a of aisan on aisan crimes there.... and where i lived if there was any gang violence at all... it was black on islanders or mexican on islander... stupid, but thats how it was. gangs are stupid in general.

Blacks suffered worse in slavery than natives because most of the 80% natives were wiped out, which is also very bad. The blacks got their rights in "1965" because those rights blacks died to fight for was not only for them but for all "minorities". If it wasnt for blacks. Natives and other Non-whites will not be getting the same rights as blacks. Whoever taught you that is another white lie. Remember white people are not only racist but change an lie a lot about his-story to make whites dominant. Lincoln didnt end slavery, he only made it illegal.

Sociologically speaking,a lot bigger spectrum(races or people) exists in between two extremes of white and black.Unfortunately,most narrow minded people also suffer from extreme vision in which they can see only at the extremities and miss out the broad spectrum in between.Hopefully,coming generations are likely of have a better perspective and a wider vision.

Media likes contrasts and trouble. Contrasts and crime make good copy for the newspapers to sell. You would watch an interview on TV whether or not you knew someone it you thought they might say something stupid. That concept may seem ridiculous, but human nature.

If the media though the latinos vs. the intuit (eskimnos) would sell DVDs, I think they would do it.

I don't think every thing's black & white. My fiancee's a Native American, & I'm a Non-hispanic Caucasian (but I'm not white -- I'm sort of "flesh-toned). When you get down to it, we're ALL colored (one shade or another). While my family heritage is German, I've always been attracted to brunettes with brown eyes (including Pacific Islander, Asian, Native American, & African-American). My point is: What's your point?
