Step #1
Ask: how long does it take Production Line A to build 1 unit?
12.5 units divided by 60 minutes = 4.8 minutes

So it takes the 4.8 minutes to build 1 unit.

Step #2
Ask: how long will it take Productio Line A to build 15.25 units?

Well, they can build one in 4.8 minutes so, 15.25 units times
4.8 minutes = 73.2

Step #3
Now convert 73.2 minutes into hours and minutes.

73.2 minutes divided by 60 minutes = 1.22 hours

assume for 1 hour , b produces 15.25 units , how many hours will a need to produce 15.25 units?you just divide 15.25/12.5 which is equal to 1.22 hours.
Think of it this way, if a produces 5 units in 1 hour and B produces 10 units in 1 hour. How many hours it takesA to produce the same amount as B.?
You just divide 10/5 , you got 2...hours

Line A will have to work longer, ie time has to be increased.
15.25 units<-----> 1 hour
12.5 units<-----> 1 x 15.25 / 12.5 hours
= 3.05 / 2 . 5 hours
= 12.20 / 10 hours
= 1.22 hours

STEP NO. 1

Firstly, solve how long does it take production line A to build 1 unit:
12.5 units divided by 60 minutes = 4.8 minutes

So, it takes the 4.8 minutes to build 1 unit

STEP NO. 2

Then, solve how long will it take production line A to build 15.25 units. They can build one in 4.8 minutes:

So, 15.25 units x 4.8 minutes = 73.2 minutes

STEP NO. 3

Lastly, convert 73.2 minutes into hours and minutes:
73.2 minutes divided by 60 minutes = 1.22 hours

A=12.5u/h
B=15.25u/h
All you have to do is divide production line B's production=> 15.25
By production line A's production=> 12.5

15.25/12.5= 1.22
There you go!!!

Don't you just have to divide 15.25 by 12.5... That's what I did and it came to 1.22 So I guess:

15.25/12.5=1.22

Easy.... 12.5 (units) Divide by 60(minutes) =.2083333(unit/min)
15.25(units) divide by 60(minutes) =.2541666(unit/min)
Divide 15.25 by the smaller amount .2083333 =73.200011
divide by 60(Min) =1.22

this is very simple ....

if in 1 hour you make 12.5 then in how many hours can you make 15.25

cross multiplication

1 ---------> 12.5
? ---------> 15.25

therefore

15.25/12.5 = 1.22
