It's simple, you can't. Escpecially if they are trying to hide it. It use to be said that you can see the Adams apple of a man as a tell tell sign but not even that is for sure these days.
So the best way is to view their plumming, but not even that is as simple as one would like because sexual attraction would be assumed; when you only wanted to know their gender.
But, if they have been operated on you will never know the truth.
So, like I said, you can't, you will just have to take them at their word. That is, until you find out otherwise and then its all down hill from there, or is it! Who knows in todays world.

It is actually confusing nowadays. My mom and I were arguing in an airport while staring at this Security person. We couldn't tell what "IT" was. "IT" Looked like a girl and looked like "IT" had breasts like a woman has except that my mom said "IT" had a deep voice and used the mens bathroom!!!
